Why does lube sting when I put it on?

is lub ment to sting? I was just with my boyfriend and he put lube on my pus*y and it stung it really hurt is it ment to sting?

It could be that you’re allergic to it. It shouldn’t really hurt. Have you tried using different kinds of lube? You could do that, or you could try more foreplay to create more natural lubrication from your own body.

My wife has the same issue with certain lubricants. Lubricants are actually made with various chemicals. IT is very common for certain lubes to sting. It is after all a very sensitive region down there. I’d recommend trying different types. Try to stick with labels that say Natural, Sensitive etc. My wife found Astroglide Natural to be comfortable. It’s made with plant extracts and has no Alcohol, Glycerin or Fragrances added. Also had some success with KY Sensitive Jelly.

Also, it could just be dry down there for many different reasons which can cause very small cracks around your vagina. This could also have been the reason for the burning. If this is the first occurrence and is with the same lubricant you have been using this is more than likely the cause.

Its not supposed to hurt you may want to go to a doctor and have him or her check it out
