Why do people aged 13-16 get so much homework?

it’s to keep you buisy this way if you are doing home work, you can’t be getting into trouble, or getting pregnant, or finding out how corrupt our government really is. Albert Einstine was a drop out, and he created the a-bomb I think his plan was to blow up the schools, wonder where he went wrong.

I remember thinking high school was hard. then I got thrown into the real world and begged to go back to the days of a few pages of homework here and there. Trust me - no matter what you’re doing now, you’ll need to multiply it by a bundle for college and beyond. The stress is only beginning.

IKR im a freshman in 9th grade and I have an SAT june 5th then a regents june14 then 5 more regents..then more test…suck to be in ALL AdvancedPlacement(Honors)excelerated classes. seince I was little…:(

teachers give homework to students not only because of the school boards wishes but also to ensure that they know what they are teaching I class is right, as not all students get to understand.

Yeah, I am of that age too, and man is it ever rough. It’s mostly just because they want to teach us about deadlines, and concecuences. Well, do all your work, and eventually it becomes habit.

you know, school really isnt that bad! I have a 4000 word research proposal, an 8000 word literature review and a 15,000 word thesis to write…

It’s to teach responsibility and bring us closer to our goals in life. I, myself, am also starting to feel the burn of homework. It sucks, but what can we do other then try our hardest and hope for the best? The homework is there for a reason, to make sure that the things we learn in class don’t just go poof as soon as we leave the classroom. It’s going to be alright, homework won’t be forever. We just have to deal with it, pack it up and bring it to school.

ikr!! im studying for the constitution now then I have to study for a mytholigy test for next week and I still have a load of homework.. and if I dont pass the two test im not graduating 8th grade… but I think there doing it to prepare us for the future because its even worse when we need to go to work and collage (if you wanna do either)

its better if you just do it trust me I learned the hard way
