why do ONLY police officers get free coffee?

I am not arguing with you…

thisis not a mtter of whether timmies gives it out or not, I am just wonderig why police officers get the special treatment. period

and ALL Tim Horton’s locations are told to give it to the poice for free

That’s not true…having worked at a few Tim Hortons stores in my years, and having been married to a police officer, I know for a fact that that statement is false.

I stand by my last point: if the coffeeshop owners gave free coffee to every person who deserved it, they’d go bankrupt.

I didnt know they got it free…

its out of order that the other emergency services dont get it…

Police don’t always get free coffee.

It is up to the owner of the coffee establishments to make that decision…it’s not like this is something that’s governed by our laws.

Usually, they will offer the police free coffee because the police keep their shops safe. While paramedics and firefighters also do an admirable job of saving people’s lives, it’s the police who get called out during robberies and to deal with aggressive or drunk people in their stores.

Its stupid that pigs get free coffee in the first place, I didnt know that before now (I live in ontario also) but Im totally disgusted by that fact. Police officers get wayyy too much entitlement. Like if someone kills another person noone but people close to that person cares.. but if someone kills a fcking pig its like OMG they’re a cop killer and they get this extravagant funeral.. its bullsht is all Im sayin..

I think is because at one time maybe there was a crime area and by giving free coffee the police will visit more and it will give potential robbers a compelling reason to stay away.
