Why do guys like me have a hard time getting a girlfriend?

I am a 19 year old male. Girls compliment me on my looks all the time. They say I’m a great person. I am also smart and accomplished.

So why is it so hard for me to get a girlfriend? My longest relationship was only two months. Why is it so hard for guys like me to move out of the “friend zone?”

Ah man, I can see by my post how I can come across as somewhat over-confident. I just wanted to emphasize that I really am an ok guy. However, my experience with girls is that they usually chase after some big jerk (you know, the treat girls like crap and he can get them all type ), and ignore me when it comes to anything romantic. I mean, I help them with their schoolwork and their problems but that’s where it usually stops. But it may just be that I really haven’t found the right one yet. Anyway, thank you for the advice! :)

You sound quite confident. Sometimes girls can get a little intimidated by that, and on occasion it may put them off. Express interest in a girl. Talk to her, find out her interests. If you go on a date, talk to her, compliment her, but be shy if you are, and be yourself too. Also, it may be simply that you have not met the right girl yet. Ask your friends, honestly, if you have a big ego. If they say yes, work on deflating it.
