Why do every body think emokids are middle class and up?

its the foolish judgement of people now a days -its kinda like that at my school, except without thestereotypes. some people just cant accept change or difference, I don’t know why ether. but you shouldn’t be afraid to express your individuality. hope it helps =)

umm isnt he talking about class? as in something financial? I would say that, no offense to anyone, but people think that emos have a lot of material things. I may be wrong though.

It’s turned into a bloody trend, that’s my problem with it. Anyone who sits around and cries and moans about their problems without doing anything about them is worthless in my opinion.

Your hearts are bigger and more fragile? You think you’re special or something? You’re not. Being ‘emo’ doesn’t make you unique in anyway. You couldn’t take the abuse any more? And how did being emo help that at all? Do tell. “Oh cry moan people are mean to me so I’m going to dress like I’m gay, whine about about how people don’t understand me and hurt myself. Ok no offense to ilovemetal23. You are being unfairly stereotypical. Not every “Emo” lookks the same talks the same and has the same attitude. It’s people like you that think they do. If you really really get to know an “Emo” you could be surprised that maybe they actually have a reason to be depressed. and not all suicide threats are empty. And what exactly is “emo style” because not all “emos” look the same And everyone is different so you cant say “emos” arent. It’s another label people give other people. It is differant. And again everyone is different.

because no one wants to hear your problems we all have problems we dont go attracting attention by posting empty suicidal threats. if your that depressed get some help, but dont broadcast it thats the most bloody annoying thing also, whats up with emo clothes, hair, the overrall style in my opinion its kinda gay

Yeah you know what lets generalize people under a stereotype thats lovely. After all every ‘’emo’’ kid has suicidal thoughts and has nothing better to do than to vent all of his/her problems on a website.

How lovely, after all every ‘’emo’’ person suffers from some form of depression and smokes does drugs. According to you ‘’emos’’ are the ones heavily influenced by drugs. Did I mention that this is a stereo type?Oh right according to you, emos are the only ones that are actively smoking and doing drugs. Who ever told you that a stereotype defines a persons personality? You know something people need some sort of empathy from others. It doesn’t hurt to ask people for help but then again everyone that does that is in fact under the stereotype of ‘’emo’’. You know something you are in fact titled to your own opinion but you don’t have to degrade the opinion of others. Thats just immature in my eyes. Zoe is right on the mark. Way to generalize the population, really thats just nice.

On the other hand, for the poster of this question. The people you hang out with have either little or no respect for what you wear and how you look. You shouldn’t change yourself to please people. They certainly won’t do the same for you. Also from what I know stereotypes such as ‘’emo’’ really can never be gained. They’re just labels for your sense of style. People that fit under the stereotype of being emo don’t have bigger hearts at all. According to me they just like to express their emotions more then others. Nothing wrong with that, for others that a huge problem. Really though its quite saddening that people have such narrow minded views on things.
