Why did this happen?

Ok I need to tell the whole story for anyone to understand my dilemma. I’m going to be 20 soon and a few months ago (2 to be exact) a divorced man (30yrs old been divorced almost a year) started talking to me a lot through phone text messages. We knew each other from work and the conversations were innocent. After awhile i confessed to him i was interested in him and would like to get to know him better and maybe take our relationship a little further. I didn’t want to sound pushy b/c he was recently divorced and all. He seemed cool with the idea and a few weeks later our conversations started getting a little sexual and more personal. One day he asked if i wanted to hang out 3 days from then, i agreed. The day to hang out came but he stood me up, that was over a week ago. How can a guy who constantly texted me everyday just suddenly disappear into thin air..I don’t know. I don’t know if i’d even be interested in him anymore if he started talking to me again I would just like some opinions from everyone as to what might have happened or what i should do..thank you
