Why did the cow jump over the moon?

I remember watching a show that said this at the end of it. ‘’And the cow jumped over the moon!’’

Does anyone know why the cow jumped over the moon?

Better yet, why did the cow jump alone? Why didn’t it bring a friend? It’s a long trip over the moon you know. And what on earth did the cow do on the other side of the moon? This phrase is so confusing to me… :(

Does anyone have any ideas?

Geesh, haven’t you watch the commercials? Good cheese come from happy cows. The moon is made of cheese. Thus it only makes sense that the cow was going to visit the cheese to see what he should be making, getting a sample of great work in progress. The moon is a result of the happiest cow to ever exist…it’s like the cow idol. If I had to guess, it would be one of the Chick-fil-a ones. Anyways, all the cow was doing was trying to get a closer look at happy cow cheese at its prime.

Gosh, kids don’t know anything nowadays…

:-P

The cow was commercially raised which means he was fed chemicals and was all muscle. He got roid rage and needed something to take the edge off.

Answer #3

lol, it’s an old nursery rhyme from the 1700s

Hey diddle diddle, The cat and the fiddle, The cow jumped over the moon, The little dog laughed to see such sport, And the dish ran away with the spoon.

Answer #4

Maybe he jumped over the moon because the cat was playing the fiddle horribly and he just wanted to get away from the noise. That’s probably also why the dish ran away with the spoon.
