Why did he text me?

I broke up with my ex nine months ago and he is seeing someone new. We were kind of trying to be friends for awhile…but I didn’t hear from him for a couple of weeks and then out of the blue he sent me text…

I was glad to hear from him, but then the conversation that followed didn’t go far…

Why would he text, but then not want to talk for more then a couple of texts…?

I just don’t see the point…

maybe he just wanted to see how you were doing

if you were ok

or maybe if you had feelings for him still

if the texts didnt go far he probably got the hint that you dont like him anymore
