Why did he do this? needs help. confused

So a friend of mine gave me his jacket to wear like in April before spring break because it was cold. then like 2 weeks later in 4th hour I went to give it back to him but he just pushed it back towards me and I said, I was givin his jacket back but he said no keep it because ‘’ he cant even fit it anymore. But I no for a fact that he can still fit it. why would he give me his jacket to keep and lie that he cant fit it.

Plus I recently found out that the jacket he gave me costs $60.00. Its a expensive jacket

Weird!! Ok so maybe he wants you to have something that reminds you of him??? Just throwing that one out there… cause maybe he likes ya

it might just be because he might think your trying to start a relationship with him,even if your not. a lot of couples share their things, so that might be why he thinks it. he might just not want to be dating right now, and does not want to commit to a relationship. also, he might just not like the jacket and doesnt want to tell you so he wont hurt your feelings.
