Why can't I let him go?

I feel so stupid for feeling the way I feel. I met this guy in 2007 and we dated for 3 weeks, but it ended because we could never see each other when we were going out. We would talk like everyday, once week a month from 2007-early 2009. Then we just stopped talking. I never stopped liking him since we started going out…It’s been almost 3 years. Now, we don’t talk at all. We text each other every now and then but the convo doesn’t last long. I don’t know who he is anymore, but yet I still feel this connection to him. I think about him ALL THE TIME. I know he moved on, how do I move on? I’ve tried, but whenever I do, we have a short convo and it brings back memories and I start liking him all over again. Do you think I should move on? If so, how would I do that?

I have the same problem. Probly because you are in love with him and have a really deep connection. Whenever you start to think about him stop. Think about something else, Mabie block his number? Go out with someone else. If you ever see him then look away and ignore him unless he says hi and keep it casual. Ya I think you should move on. Its hard I know but you need to. You`ll find someone else.
