Why aren't my headphones working?

When I plug them into the computer, I hear no sound, I only hear sound from my speakers, my headphones work fine on my ipod though? But usually I plug my headphones into the computer and they work fine, why are they deciding not to work today?

yhoo need to check if yhoor computer is working properly use a different set of headphones on the computer and if it doesnt work it must be yhoor computer

restart your computer. (hold down the power putton and then click it again after your screen goes black, make sure you dont have anything you can lose, save that stuff first) plug your earphone back in when your computer starts back up and you see your desktop.

if this doesn’t work

blow into the earphone jack (that place you plug your earphones in) then plug them back in

if that doesn’t work

find another set of earphones and see if those work, and if they do there is something wrong with your earphones.
