Why are stray hairs gross?

Ever noticed how if someone finds a piece of hair like on their clothes or in the bathroom or something, it’s often met with “Eeeew, a hair” yet when that piece of hair was previously attached to the person’s head it is perfectly fine and not at all gross..? Same goes with things like fingernails…how come they suddenly turn ‘icky’ when they leave the body..?

Well when the offending piece of hair is attched to a head, including your own, no-one thinks its yuck or germy. As soon as it becomes detached it is suddenly gross…just weird that’s all.

I think that maybee thay may contain germs or something or that person is a germophobe

yeah just the thought of it comin from some one you dont know. and they might have had lice or something.
