Why are men so controlling?

Not all men are like that, it just depends on how the guy was taught growing up, and weather if he respects women or not. Its really a sad thing. Sometimes guys wanna help out and dont know how to. Now controlling is a different and sometimes serious thing, sometimes people are controlling over a relationship because they are afraid of losing their girlfriend/ boyfriend and cant find any other way to stop it from happening, or just the fact that they want to feel like they are in power over everything, but controlling isent a good thing. Also some men do think that women should do everything, but these are old ideas that dont need to apply anymore, maybe in the situation of a child (even then the guy should help out) but in the new era women are more common to hold up a good paying job, go to college and other things like that and the man stays at home and takes care of the kids or cleans the house and cooks. It all depends on the kind of man they are or how they were raised or the enviroment they grew up in. But then again, NO RELATIONSHIP COMES WITHOUT EFFORT if you know what I mean lol.
