Why are furrys hated?

Why is being a furry hated so much? Is it spite boardom what is it? And please real answers try to go in depth on your answer.

I think you’re creating a a grand emotional tableau where none exists. I’ve not noticed furries being hated any more than any other fetishists. If you don’t actually have a fetish, it’s next to impossible to understand what it’s like, and when people are confronted with unusual things they don’t understand, making fun of them helps to reassert a measure of control in a strange situation. God help the poor aliens who ever decide to make a landing. They’ll be ridiculed into submission.

So it’s not spite or boredom, it’s confusion. A furry also has the same baggage as people with giant/giantess or ghost fetishes, that is, a fetish that can never be fully realized, which just adds more confusion into the mix, which makes the jokes start afresh.

You might be feeling a fair amount of animosity, but from this end, I really don’’t see furries getting an unfair shake, at least no less fair than anyone else. Try to ignore it. Enjoy Avatar :)

People hate or judge things that they do not understand.

As Mikeh pointed out if you haven’t had a fetish or been in the same position as someone else for that matter then it is difficult (if not impossible) to understand them and what rocks their boat so too speak.

you people speaking about fetishes realize that “furry” does not equate to “I like to put on a fursuit and have sex.” furry is really just a fantasy, with only a small percentage yiffing
