Why are Emo's labeled?

There’s nothing wrong with emos… they all don’t cut or anything like that. Whoever started that bullsh*t is a liar. You DON’T have to be a cutter or be depressed/suicidal 24/7 to be emo. There’s a whole lot more to it than that. Same with being goth… there’s more to it than just appearance.

I know right same here but what I would do was do different things for at least a week or two then yeah se how it goes get friends to give you a nickname and call you it…around the labelers

Some people feel it is necessary to place labels on people for their own benefit. It could be seen as a way of having power over a person. I would suggest not worrying about them. Continue being who you are.

Why is ANYONE labled? Its mostly for popularity and clique reasons. Its easier for people to classify others by how they dress and the music they like.Personally,I think it’s rediculous.I dont call people by labels,I think Its dumb.I could care less what people wear or what they do.I prefer names over labels.

a lot of people are idiots almost everyone is labeled not only do other people label you, but people usually label themselves as well labels help us all catergorize each other for future referance nowdays though, a lot of kids are uneducated about this sort of thing they blindly run around calling everyone wearing black an “emo” or a “goth” ect and every emo a “cutter” people like that should affect your life though because there simply not worth listening to

Emo’s label themselves. As soon as they call themselves “Emo” They are labeling themselves. It’s a fad which will die out soon.
