What makes people ugly?

Its about how other people see you… Yes genetics is a reason but thats just how you look… There are many ways of being pretty and ugly…

Nothing MAKES people ugly or pretty. It’s really YOUR perception of beauty. What you think is beautiful is different from what someone else thinks is gorgeous. So yeah… “ugliness” is really just whatever you want to think it is… x] my opinion. ^_^

I think the personality decides whether you are ugly or pretty , I have a friend who isnt very pretty but she has an amazing personality which makes her loved by many people and very popular , and on the other hand there are very pretty people but at the same time very mean and snobby these people if they had all the beauty in the world they will still be hated for their personality

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder…different strokes for different folks…So yes, what one person sees as “pretty” another may see as average, or even unattractive.

Also, have you ever been around someone who has gotten prettier as you’ve gotten to know them? Or gotten less pretty as you got to know them? Not all beauty is displayed on the outside.

Most people find that symmetric faces are pretty. Most people find that average faces are pretty. The ‘scheme of childlike characteristics’ is an exception. It makes faces with non-average features look cute (look at manga).

So asymmetric (for example slanting) faces with very unusual traits (for example mouth larger than average compared to the rest of the face) would be ugly.

genes technically make you “pretty” or “ugly”, but most of the time personality alters the way people see someone, like if a girl is really pretty but she’s a complete biitch, people will think of her as ugly.

gene.., what you wear,..how you carry urself,… and your humour.. I think humour is a great way of looking more beautiful!!! (..umm..no comment..because I dont think I know what im tlkin abt right now)

I think that its personality that matters! like I don’t like that chicks have gunked up faces…

personal preferance for everyone out there there is someone who thinks they look pretty, and soemene who thinks they look ugly people you find ugly are attractive to someone else, and vice versa

Confidence generally makes someone seem pretty and lack of confidence can make even the most beautiful of people seem ugly.

Hate can turn people ugly on the inside, but Love conquers all, even within us, and I believe that is what makes people beautiful.

Nothing. Everyone is different :) It’s how celebs and others on the news and stuff look like and that’s how the public gets the idea on what’s ‘ugly’ and what isn’t. Personality will get you further than looks, I say :)
