Why am I so jealous of my boyfriend?

We’ve been dating for about 8 months. We are both in juniors in college. We are very different personality wise. So he goes out a lot more than I do with friends. And when he does he drinks a lot. He always calls me, and I’ve met all of his friends, they are all really nice. *But why do I still get so jealous even when I know he’s not doing anything wrong? He knows I dont like it, but he gets upset, and says that I shouldnt get mad over him having fun, that I shouldnt get jealous and that I should just go out with MY friends and have some fun too! But I rather just stay home, Im dont need to party to be happy.

Am I really giving him a hard time? Why do I feel so jealous when he’s out with friends?

Dear ks319705, He drinks a lot…he is probably an alcoholic as well. When he is away from you, you may be thinking that he may be flirting with the girls at the bar, dancing with them, conversing with them. You’d be right and be right to be concerned. You need to find someone who is more your style. Opposites attract but likes stay together. We can love a lot of people in our life time that doesn’t mean that they are for us. As we mature we begin to see that and begin to become more aware who we are compatible with. I think it is time to move on and start dating men who like to stay home, spend time with you and family, knows how to create the fun at home. Sue…good luck
