Why am I getting more blackheads since I started Accutane?
I am on my third week of my Accutane treatment, and I am getting tons of blackheads on and around my nose and now, even on my shoulders. Its really weird. I was wondering if anyone has ever experienced this, and will they go away after the treatment is over?
From what I have seen, people break out a lot more when they first get on accutane. The breakout should be long gone by the time your done with the treatment. You should try looking at peoples past experience with accutane so you can get an idea of how they are going through it and what to expect.

Forgot to answer your question, the reason I believe that your getting more blackheads is because your sebaceous glands are fighting off the medicine. What accutane does is it literally shuts down all activity by the sebaceous gland, thus leaving you with dry chapped lips and any other dryness.
