Why am I always so scared to ask for help on school work?
O.k I am struggling in everything in school and I need help but I am scared to ask for help.I can’t really learn as fast as others and I am shy about asking for things.(I am in special e.d language arts.)I am struggling in my best subject and the teacher is the coolest and I love her as a teacher but I sound so stupid when she explains something (again again again and again over the same thing!)And I feel and sound so stupid!How can I learn faster and not ask for help so much?Thank you so much!Ally;)
I used to be really scared to ask questions and things at uni and for the first couple of years I did quite badly because of it. When I started asking more, it made learning so much easier and I also got a lot more confidence in my own abilities. Dont worry about sounding stupid, its ok to ask your teachers for help. Thats what they are paid for. If they explain it to you and you dont understand it, its ok to ask again. They may need to explain it in a different way for you, everyone has a different learning style.
