I agree with stephanie987 that’s the most common reason I have seen, or that they are jealous of how happy others are so they feel like they have to change that. I honestly don’t understand such an absurd thing, that’s why most my friends are guys not girls!

Depression and drama is all self-committed. They like attention, obviously. Drama queens I would say, avoid them. No, depression and such is not ‘fate’ and ‘oh darn, I wish my life was better, I can’t help it.’ Yes you can, just have to have motivation.

Simply put, there always will be girls and a few boys that are drama queens, because teenage society is totally corrupt. one word. attention.
