Who will win the democratic nomination in the us elections? Hilary or obama?

Who has the best chance of becoming the next us president?

Answer #1

Chris Matthews:

“I think the Hillary appeal has always been about the mix of toughness and sympathy. Let’s not forget, and I’ll be brutal, the reason she’s a US Senator, the reason she’s a candidate for President, the reason she may be a front runner, is that her husband messed around…That’s how she got to be a Senator from New York. We keep forgetting it. She didn’t win it on her merit, she won because everybody felt, ‘My God, this woman stood up under humiliation,’ right? That’s what happened. That’s how it happened. In 1998, she went to NY and campaigned for Chuck Schumer as almost like the grieving widow of absurdity, and she did it so well and courageously. But it was about the humilation of Bill Clinton.”

I felt compelled to see if there was anyone answering her over 40, simply because I needed to “feel” where everyone was 30 years ago. I’m old, I know…and I was well into adulthood when the Clintons were in the Whitehouse the 8 years prior to the 8 years of Bush…that’s only the last 16 years…

It’d be wonderful if Obama was selected as the nominee…but I know his purity…his true commitment to the well being of the people will actually be his downfall…Can we do 12 or 16 years with the Clintons in the Whitehouse? Too bad they don’t have to sign a morality clause to live there…George W., in my eyes, has kinda of been a pay-back for Jimmy Carter…that’s simplistic, of course…The reality is…Presidents only pick up where the last one left off…each with it’s own basket of problems…Just like artists the only GREAT presidents are dead…

Destiny? Its not Destiny, Hilary will give democrats the best shot at winning, even though most people hate her for what ever reason. Obama, can get people fired up with his message of hope and change but has no history of doing anything.

As far as the Republican side its an open call, Rudy wont win any states in a caucus because people who answer and vote in national press poles historically don’t vote in a caucus.

All I can say when it comes to the actual election that people look at each issue and make an objective descision on them and choose that way, instead of I’m voting for any democrat because republicans are fascists, or I’m voting for a republican because dmeocrats are tree hugging hippies.

Hi,

From the preliminary reports, it looks like Obama is a bit ahead. He already won the Iowa caucus.

As for the next President…I think (and hope) that after the fiasco in Iraq, a Republican war-monger wouldn’t win the election again. I’ll be voting for whichever Democrat runs–and my father, a hardcore Republican who voted for Bush twice–will also be voting Democrat this time around. For the first time in 30 years.!

Answer #5

Don’t fall for the Obama hype. Nobody is destined. Just ask Mitt or Edwards. Clinton is truly what this country needs right now. experience and guidance. This is what I see in Hillary Clinton.

Answer #6

Obama, its destiny.

Republicans have spent too many years being venomous and nasty and frankly…wrong about pretty much everything. I would consider voting for Rudy only on the Republican side. The rest are dead meat as far as I’m concerned.

Answer #7

Personally, I think Hillary will win, but I believe that will make it so the republican has a shot at becoming the next president. I’m just not sure when push comes to shove if we will be electing a woman as president if she does defeat obama.

Will middle eastern countries respect a female president? Then again, she has her husband to help her with that, but there’s something about Hillary becoming president that bothers me, and I’m a democrat.

Answer #8

destined to be obama. hilary is just a humour of bill. she is is clever but hasnt truly made her way to the top alone. unlike obama. FOR OBAMA.

Answer #9

So the real US election is between hilary and Obama,I think. The most attractive thing in us democracy is this open way of choosing candidates.
