Who was meriam in the bible?

Who was meriam in the bible?

Answer #1

As far as I know, ‘Meriam’ is simply one possible spelling of the Middle Eastern equivalent of ‘Mary’, used among other things in Hebrew and Aramaic. Most Middle Eastern scripts don’t show the specific vowels, so the name can also be written as Miriam, Miryam, etc. in Western languages. Basically: it’s Mary, any of the Biblical Marys.
