Who wants to see a red moon?

In the uk we’ll see the moon turn red tonight…it’s a special sort of eclipse. It starts at 1.43am and finishes at 5.09am…that’s thursday early morning.

Actually, it’s highly visible late evening for the US / Canada too: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/23184927/?GT1=10856

(85% of the site’s members are from USA…so, we’d ALL be upset if it wasn’t visible here too!).

“But if you have an open view low to the east, even this situation will only add to the drama — for as twilight fades, West Coast residents will see the shadow-bitten moon coming into stark view low above the landscape. By late twilight, the Western observers will have a fine view of the totally eclipsed lunar disk glowing red and dim, low in the eastern sky.”. From the article :) Awesome!
