Who thinks I still have feelings for my ex?

Last year, sometime in June, I broke up with the sweetest guy on the planet. It shattered both of us, but me being so F-ing proud, refused to show him I was utterly destroyed by it. I recently pulled myself out of the horrible downward spiral of depression, which included alcohol abuse, a long story for another time, and utter flooziness. Every time I think about him, my heart feels like it’s going to shatter again and the first thing I go for is a beer. Aside from the obvious alcoholic nature that I express and fail to control dispite all my efforts, which DO include AA, does this sound at all like I still have feelings for him?

You know what? I think you do have feelings for him. And really strong ones too. I think you should talk to him explain how shattered you were and how you wanted to be strong. Explain to him how much you’ve been through. And how you’ve grown up and how much you still think you need him. Because honestly it sounds like you still like him a lot.
