As for you comments regarding how I can believe Witchcraft isn’t evil: Not everyone is a Christian. You might have to broaden your horizons a bit.

Amblessed, I don’t know what kind of practice you’re referring to, but Witchcraft is most certainly not evil.

In the Bible, many people point to where it says “thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” Ok, fine, but realize that originally, it never said “witch,” it said “poisoner,” which is a very different concept.

bad idea ther is no such thing just read books or watch movies based on witch craft like all the Harry Potter books/movies. Or read Teen Witch or Totally Tarot

Firstly, I would like to say THANK YOU for sticking to your point and not letting anyone persuade you that Wicca is evil. It’s not, so please, people that are saying it is, try researching it before you jump to conclusions and post them everywhere.

To be precise, the roots of most Wiccan traditions do in fact predate Monotheism or any other kind of spiritual practice, considering the fact that it is based off of the original pagan beliefs from the beginnings of human religion in the world.

But to directly answer your question Greeneyes…(forgive my small splurge) I would have to say that you would have to look for the answers in yourself. You say you practiced Wicca or some other form of Neo-paganism once before. Then you got out of it…but now you’re still feeling that tug on your soul…or mind, or something to that effect…yes?

I can understand what you’re going through, because I myself have done through the same thing before finally and truly realizing and understanding.

Look at how your living your life right now, and ask yourself why you think Wicca (or spells/voodoo/or whatever it is that you’re into) is calling you to come back. Do you like life better without or with it in your life?

I always think that if the subconscious is pulling you towards something, then you should give it a go or try it again. You never know what might happen. Isn’t that how the saying goes (even if it isn’t applied the same way here- “If you fail once, try and try again.”?

I would ask myself why I left my practice before, and if that reason was more personal then religion, amd if so, maybe that’s your problem…

I understand Witchcraft better than most. . . it is not evil, it is simply incorrect. the Religion has a bloody past true much like your Judeo religions, and it has been changed over time like Judaism. The religion today is very peaceful, But I still consider it incorrect. . . . Besides if you call it evil you have to include Easter & Christmas - Both Christian holidays meant to replace Sabbets. We just happened to get both from the witches. . . When you put up your Christmas tree remember the Yule log. when you put up your Christmas lights remember you are calling back the daylight. . . Easter bunny and eggs- fertility symbols. I find the word evil is used so often simply to discribe something we do not have an understanding of. . . .

Rnealw…you’re speaking from a Wiccan standpoint. Wicca and Witchcraft def. aren’t the same thing. They’re just not. Wicca is a religion, Witchcraft isn’t.

And as for the Bible verse, it’s entirely possible one translation did say “sorceress,” but I have a Bible translated straight from the original languages, and it says “poisoner.”

One last thing…”majik” or “magick,” who cares?

Hey sweety. So yeah, I hope you’re referring to Wiccan or Pagan beliefs. Because if you aren’t and you go slipping into that sort of majik and what not, you can actually end up harming yourself. The 3-fold rule usually applies to non wiccans when they meddle with things they don’t know or comprehend. Myself, I am of the Wiccan beliefs, but I do not practice because I am untrained in such things and I do not have a local coven to teach me. However, I do know that you should stick to the white majick because witchcraft is not something to mess with. You can end up awakening and bring bad spirits to you, and with a family around, I’m not sure you want that.

Anyhow, try doing some research on wikipedia and try locating a local coven if you are unsure of what you are doing. Remember. Most of the “wiccan” websites out there are phonies written by people that do not accept the wiccan thoughts and often times will not write from a non biased stand point.

If you’re interested in Witchcraft, learn more about it before you attempt ANYTHING. It’s not a joke, or something to play with. Read books besides “Teen Witch.”

Hello im new to this site but want to responed to this post. I am a witch and as some said it is not evil, while I do understand the veiws of those who claim it is such.But I just want to share with greeneyes what the craft is to me. It is more then spells and such. It is a religon that focuses on knowing yourself in its true form, devloping a personal relationship with the gods, God/Goddess seeking balance, and attuning oneself to nature and the elemental forces and energy that flow threw and around all things. The Craft is often differnt for each person because the Divine one speaks to each of his/her childern in his/her own way. In a way and form that helps the person to come closer to well the light and love of what is. Spells yes they do exist and work however they should only be used when nessary, carefully thought out, with prayer and divination methods. If you are really drawn to the Craft or called as I felt then I would suggest you start by exaimaning the concepts of divinity and what it means to you and how you see it in your life. As I see it god/goddess are present in every thing the mere act of breathing is done with awe and reconition of the love that God/Goddess has for all. Any ways I ramble just want to share the Craft in light that many may not know exists Bright Blessings
