who knows how to get the dvd/ GPS system working in a jap import?

hey, I just bought a jap import and it has a dvd player/ GPS sytem in it, and the dude at the car yard told me it won’t work here in Australia. he also told me it would cost me around $1500 to get it fixed up for over here!

does anybody know how you go about it, without paying heaps?

Answer #1

If you can get a video device that can feed out NTSC, it may work. there are a heap of people with Japanese OEM car GPS systems though. I’ve seen comment on Trademe about a possible hacked for your car.

Answer #2

they can be hacked…

my mate bought a UK satnav and found teh code to hack it so it would show the whole of europe..

you need to search the make and model ;)

if you post it here I can help look… not promising your make/model will have a code to unlock it but we can look..
