Alan Johnson is a Labour MP (Member of Parliment) for Kingston Upon Hull West and Hessle. However if you are on about the BBC reporter - Alan Johnston. He was captured whilst he was working in Gaza as a reporter/journalist by militants for 114 days. He was forced into a car at gunpoint and was told that the reason for his kidnapping is to secure the release of Muslims jailed in Britain.
