How to explain to 2nd graders about veterinarians?

I have to figure out how to explain to 2nd graders about veterinarians. I dont know real simple words, and I am supposed to make a lot of sense with small words, for me - this is hard. I have to explain the equipment they use, how much they earn and what they do. I normally volunteer for highschool students, but - now this! Please help, thank you.

They’ll understand a lot! If they don’t understand they can ask you questions. You can relate a lot of it back to them too, like, animals need to get their yearly shots just like people do and they need to see their doctor for when they’re sick, checkups, or for surgery. Explain to them how they help many different kinds of animals from big or little such as a horse who is having a baby to snakes. That sounds like fun! haha good luck!

Veterinarians are simply Doctors for animals…same as people Doctors…only for pets.
