Who hates society and what its become?

I agree that society has gone to hell in a handbasket, but as far as your quote I can only say that anyone who claims to know is in no way shape or form someone I would choose to follow. I’m not saying this to be disagreeable I just feel that anything we think we know at this point that cant be boiled down to solid fact or mathematical equation is so diluted by history and the ideas of man throughout that it is just a reflection of the majority desire. At one point we worshiped the gods, now we worship technology and the accomplishments of society. And if you are not a part of the establishment you are part of the counter-establishment. Follow happiness and leave society to those unhappy enough with themselves to project it on the masses and then try to change the world. you can only account for you in the end…

I don’t hate society.

And I don’t like Shakespeare or poetry from the 1800’s. I don’t much like poetry at all for that matter.

I find both of the above boring even though I can read and understand it. What I prefer about today’s society is that women have more rights and that I can now become anything that I want to regardless of my gender and that for me is what seems missing from the older society. I.e. freedom. I don’t want to grow up as a housewife and breed.

50-100 years ago, society was far worse than today. That is unless you were wealthy and white. You were’nt there 50-100 years ago, so you have no idea what you are talking about.

I do not hate society. I dislike negative people though.

Progress is the result of many ideas and actions over time. For every action, there is a reaction and many of the changes that resulted from these reactions have been negative. However, if the evolution of our minds and society never progresses we’d still be living in a damp cave, amazed by fire, crapping in a hole outside. You gotta take the good with the bad…
