Interesting because I’m pretty obviously a nerd. Back when I first got on the Internet (1986) there was almost nobody but nerds here. Now kids are coming onto the Internet that we (yes, us nerds) built and saying they don’t like us!

The company I work for has their data center on the 2nd floor. I remember when I just started working here and a woman on the elevator I never met took one look at me and pressed 2. It was so obvious I was a computer guy that she didn’t even have to ask what floor,

Doctors are now noticing that the same description of nerd fits Asperger’s Syndrome (a mild form of high functioning autism). Perhaps this explains why some people become nerds. Perhaps people with Asperger’s gravitate to nerdy fields where the condition which makes them more comfortable with things than people becomes an asset rather than a liability.

what is your interpretation of nerds? glasses? smart? obsessed with computer games and comic books? because like everyone else sed, the word is pretty stereotypical. I happen 2 call myself a nerd, but im not rilly like they are in movies. just frickn dorky. :)

what I cant stand is when people are called a nerd cause they like comic books. 9 times out of 10 the guy picking on the “nerd” likes comic book movies…come on who doesnt like spiderman, 300 and the batman movies. they are the biggest and most hyped movies that come out at this time. so its ok to watch the movies but not read the original material?

Well I dont hate them because they are people just like me and you maybe if you took a liltle time to learn what or how they are like maybe after all they are good people and cool in their own ways well I love nerds and I’m kinda nerdy sometimes too because being nerdy is just like being gangxta or wateva:)
