Who has ever fallen in love with someone who was just a fling?

One summer I worked at a golf course and I met my boss. He was amazing, but he was married (I know horrible) but there was something about him I just could not resist. We agreed not to fall in love and it would just be a casual fling for the summer as my position was temporary. Well needless to say he fell in love with me first even though I felt the same I could never tell him and look so naieve that he would leave for me. It was the best summer of my life, but in the end everything came out and ruined it, I think if we agreed to end it, it would have hurt less, but the fact that we were forced to end it, devastated me. It lasted a year and we did a lot of fun things and we spent a lot of time working tournaments together at work and he would give me lessons on golf and it was hard not to talk and just be open/comfortable with each other when we spent so much time together. Honestly we were friends for a long time before we even dared to cross that line, but like I said our attraction was just amazing.
