Are there home remedies for whiter teeth?

Well, according to my dentist, there is a certain substance in my body that makes my teeth yellow. I use crest pro -health toothpaste with mouthwash every day, along with Crest Whitestrips. I still never see any results, so does anyone know any way to make my teeth whiter? Thanks.

Just to add to duck’s answer, I found that doing the baking soda peroxide paste too often (like bleaching), can wear away your enamel or make them weaker. I heard that you shouldn’t do it more than 2 times a month.

yea there are accually i use it and it works quite well_ u will need a teaspoon of bakeing soda and a strawberry_Crush the strawberry to a pulp, then mix with the baking powder until blended. Use a soft toothbrush to spread the mixture onto your teeth. Leave on for 5 minutes, then brush thoroughly with toothpaste to remove the berry–baking powder mix. Rinse. you can apply once a week.

Try rinsing with equal parts of hydrogen peroxide and water every night. Don’t rinse. Sleep on it and in a couple weeks your teeth will be a couple shades whiter.

My friend has that, we are both 15 so I might not be much help.. Bleaching your teeth might work. You need to do it at a doctors office or denits think im not positive.

To get whiter teeth at home you will need to have baking soda and peroxide. It is the safest and easiest way to whiten teeth. Mix the baking soda and peroxide till you get a thick paste like lather. Apply to teeth(avoid gums) and let it sit for no longer then a half hour. For badly stained teeth use for full 30 mins. For a Quick fix use for 5. The great thing about it is that it truly works and you can use for as long as you want.

Use baking soda, that’s one of the most easiest and natural ways to do it.

You can get the gel dentists use online and use it at home. My wife bought a product with the trays and gels. The good thing is that you keep the trays and later if you need a touch up you can get just the gel and treat when needed. Here is where she got them: http://www.vitabase.com/supplements/teeth-whitening/prowhite.aspx and here is a site that reviews stuff like this so you can see what other people said about it. The cost is about the same as the crest strips: http://www.nutritionaltree.com/reviews/beauty/teeth-whitening-kits/teeth-whitening-systems-corporation_prowhite-22-dental-bleaching-system.aspx

Odd, from what I’ve read, those are supposed to help with whitening your teeth at home ( I haven’t tried anything yet, but it’s definitely on my ‘to do list” being an avid coffee drinker).

If those brands didn’t work for you, I’d consider trying a different one & doing some research on the product at amazon, epinions, and other comparison sites that offer product reviews as well before buying. Then, buy the product in store and make sure it’s one that says money back or some such, because if it doesn’t whiten your teeth, imho, you should be able to get a refund at least.

Perhaps other people have had experience with home whitening kits…
