What is the cause of white spots on nails and how would you get rid of them?

I think its just when you bump or break your nails i have a lot of those and im kinda rough with my hands. I dont know if there is anyway to get rid of them but you can cover them up with nail polish:)

well im not rough with my hands what so ever so… i dont see how i could of got them that way

actually it is calcium deposits it happens when you drink too much milk it can also happen to your teeth my brother has that problem because he tends to drink a 4ltr of milk in like 2 days

I don’t drink milk (I’m lactose intolerant) and I’m very careful with my hands but I have them too.

I had them when I was a teen. I was told it was a calcium deficiency, so I started to drink more milk. They went away after a while, and it seemed to me to be because of the milk, though I couldn’t know for sure.

I just took a nail course, its a lack of calcium! =)

i think your right, i have heard that before,because you can also get white spots on ur skin, and if u do ur told to drink more milk

It isn’t just calcium deffiency, its a nutriance deffiency. It means your lacking the proper vitamins you need. I used to get them too. I take the gummie vitamins everyday, and try to eat more fruit. They eventually went away.
