Where are the parents ?

I think equal rights for sex and race were finallized by the 60s.

What is happening is that people have no discretion these days, and it’s encouraged. I mean, I’m all speak your mind and say it to their face kinda stuff, but I do it logically and am pretty discreet about it. No point in starting a shouting match in public, making me and the one I have grievances with look like idiots.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! I found this site last week and was TOTALLY OVERWHELMED. Like you I could not and still cannot believe what these kids are talking about here. It blew me away . So where are there parents…a very good question.

I am glad that I am a little older. I thought it was tough but now I wonder. Thanks for speaking out. I concer with you. One really has to wonder about today’s youth.

Well, like my grandmother recently said, “It seems there’s nothing considered private or sacred by society anymore.” Sure, statistically it’s not changing all that much, but the fact people brag about their sex lives, and share porn magazines, and are sometimes questioning even the most basic right and wrongs(There are some morals that are simply programmed into our instinctual side, generally about killing and stealing) is what is making it worse.

And teen pregnancy is down because of better sex education. Doesn’t mean kids still aren’t having sex.

And the process of supposedly removing religion from the classroom was something that started in the 60s, if I’m not mistaken. Though replacing it humanism and evolutionism(both which are ideally religions, just one that excludes a higher being), both which are stemmed on unproven theories, is kinda hypocritical in my opinion.

OH PUH LEASE. I had a wonderful childhood as a matter of fact. I grew up in a privileged, liberal home. THERE’S A HUGE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ‘CENSORSHIP’ AND ‘INAPPROPRIATE.’ I’ve never seen a grown man fight so hard for little kids’ right to talk about their sex lives. Dare we say it? You’re forgetting sir that it is these children who will one day be running our lives when we are incapable to do so. How should I hold on to my youth? Perhaps I’ll write in all caps and use poor grammar…maybe then someone will acknowledge my youth. So a true American is a fourteen year girl having an abortion? Or hopped up on drugs? Insert American Anthem Go to Iraq? Could you sound anymore ignorant? I am extremely liberal but I know when and where to be conservative. Don’t give me that ‘free thinker’ mumbo jumbo. It’s good to see middle-aged men defending the rights to sexually active PRE-teens…oh wait isn’t there a name for that? ;)

First of all, I wasnt talking to you. I was talking to the person who thought that things were oh so ideal in their grandmother’s time… I was simply giving them a reality check to what things were really like back then… and by the way, being a woman does not automatically mean you want equal rights… there are a lot of women who think that there are biological difference between men and women (and oh yeah the bible says so too), which means women are just naturally supposed to be subordinate…

Secondly, there are no pre teens on this site talking about sex… pre teens arent allowed on the site and are so deleted… so either you’re seeing things, or we must be really blind…

And I know you’re 20. But things have changed a lot since you were in high school. Perhaps you missed that… Kids have access to internet a lot more readily than they did even 5 years ago. And they’re going to have sex. No matter who talks to them. No matter what they hear. Abstinence only has shown to fail. Perhaps people need to actually come into the real world where teens have sex and there’s not much you can do except home school and cut them off from everything and everyone…

I suppose you’d like to go back to a time where women stayed at home, minorities didnt have equal rights, and abused women and children had no recourse? There’s a price to pay for people having rights… And if that means that delicate sensibilites are trodden upon, I’d take that any day…

I haven’t heard about any 11 and 12 year olds having sex. 13+ yeah, fine. I don’t think having sex when you are over that age is a bad thing as long as you can trust that person and are in a relationship with them, and make sure you use protection. If they don’t; it was their choice… Now THEY have to deal with it.

This is the condition of today’s society and it’s worsening - my opinion, it all started when we kicked God out of our schools and our lives.

I totally agree with you!! I am seventeen (yes I realize I am still young and considered a child) but I am totally blown away but what these little girls are saying!! I mean I am bearly starting to experience some of these things with my boyfriend of one year and they are giving one another instructions!! I totally agree with you. thanks for asking the question that everyone is thinking.

I’m guessing when you were that age there wasnt a computer in every classroom… It’s a little hard to monitor what your kid is doing when they’re at school. Also, kids will do what they will… Just because things are now more in the open doesnt mean they are worse. If you look at hard core statistics instead of hype, you’ll see that the teen pregnancy rate has gone DOWN, it is the lowest it has been in 30 years (so much for your God in schools theory amblessed).

I’m not exactly an old folk here , I’m only 20 years old . I’m just Overwhelmed by questions being posted , “how do I tell my parents I’m pregnant” at the age of 13 . My point was, just because things are more out in the open now, doesnt make them worse. Just means things arent being hidden any more… I consider that a good thing… It might be shocking how young they are, but that’s simply because people refused to acknowledge that this has been going on for centuries… people just refused to admit it…
