when will my pups worms be gone out of their system?

They have just been dewormed and we dont see any worms in their poop but we do see worms in their bed and they are dead? What do we do to stop this or does it stop on its own?

Puppies should be wormed at two eeks old then every two weeks until they are around 12 weeks old. The mother should be wormed at the same time as long as she is still feeding the puppies.

If they have been wormed properly you really shouldn’t be seeing worms in their bed.

I would ask your Vet for a suitable wormer for the age and weight of your puppies. The wormers that you can buy from the store are not as effective as the ones from the Vet.

If you do not give them the correct dose according to their weight, you will never get rid of them.

Young pups get wormed several times before the worms are gone. The wormer only kills them at certain stages in their life cycle…so as new worms hatch, pups get wormed again.

The best way to know, is every two weeks take a stool sample into the Vets, until the Vet says there are no eggs in the stool…

The worms won’t disappear overnight, but they will go away. I have cats - I make sure that they get a worm pill once a year, and that seems to be OK.
