When to get rid of her?

A lot of my close friends and I have been having problems with one friend(we’ll call her Christie) of ours. All of us are always getting in fights with Christie. Three of us got together and were talking about it and we realized only the fights Christie’s involved in get really bad. Without her, we work it out on our own and all’s good. She constantly takes credit for everybody’s relationships but every couple she’s set up over the years has failed miserably. One of my friends is in a relationship with a great guy right now and Christie takes credit for it. The messed up thing is, Christie’ll flirt with our friend’s boyfriend. All the fights start over nothing. I mean, nothing! She has an opinion about everyone and everything and constantly talks about people behind their backs. One of our friends has already given up on Christie and refuses to talk to her. She got a lot of verbal abuse from Christie over the years and now Christie claims she did a lot for our friend when she didn’t! She’s very involved in all of our lives and we’re always walking on eggshells with her. How do I get her out of my life without setting her off like a timebomb?
