When should you wash African American?

im black and I have a sew in weave right now because im trying to grow my hair out. And my sew in is human hair. I just want to know how often should I wash my hair, so that it stays healthy during the sew in

Answer #1

I’m mixed and I have a 100% human hair weave in right now and been getting them for about 2 years . My hair grows way faster . and the first few months I washed it everyday . This made it loose and knot up easily while washing out all my relaxer . When I started going to a better salon ,, they said once a week … Twice tops , I just got a shower cap like a month ago. it makes it a lot easier to wash your body and neck and face wiffout getting your hair wet .

Always wear a silk hair wrap to bed , never go to bed with wet hair, only strAighten your hair once a week ,use a light conditioner , read the instructions for whatever type of hair you got on the tag fron the bag it came in . There should be one . Follow it . Goodluck (:
