When may my dog stop having fits altogether?

I have a dog or at least we have a dog and a while back we had renovation done to our house, I.e. we replaced the carpet. The dog used to stay inside untill late at night before being sent out side (where he sleeps) a couple of months after the renovation he had a fit and we thought he was dying. The started happening more frequetly from once a month to 1 every to weeks where at worst he had about 6 fits with in the 24 hour time period then another 2 weeks would pass and he would have another set of fits. Hes not epileptic as the medication hasn’t worked, so we have come to the conclusion it COULD be possible that the chemicals in the new carpet have been giving him fits as he sleeps on the carpet with his nose always touching it. He hasn’t been inside for over 2 months now being outside a lot of the time. He is currently having fits 2 weeks between but only 2 fits in that time frame. If the carpet is the problem how long might it be till the chemicals are out of his system? And that the fits are no more.

Answer #1

with my knowledge this is because of your dog eating crap from the dust been, and if your dog have this problem from the born so get it time to time for toilet and latrine.

Answer #2

what do you mean by fits? seizures? he could have ingested some type of chemical or have a allergic reaction to something but it wouldnt last so long. youve tried medication or have you tested him?
