When is my period going to stop?

I was on depo for 6 years and in that time I have not had a period. I have stop taking depo for a year and just recently started getting my period. My first 4 periods were normal they lasted about 5 to 7 days. In the month of November I went to see my family doctor because I had been bleeding for 14 days straight. He put me on birth control and that seemed to help so I thought. In the month of December I came on my period on December 20 and still counting. My body is very weak due to the blood loss. It come out in clumps when I go to the bathroom. Please Help Anyone.

Go make an appointment with a gynecologist. What you are experiencing is not that uncommon after coming of the depo, but it should be treated as soon as you can.

Also during this time, ask your doctor to prescribe you an iron supplement and make sure that you eat a lot of red meat and dark green leafy vegetables such as spinach for iron.
