When do you get sick from Plan B?

I have heard that Plan B is suppose to make you sick? If you don’t get sick from it, is it still effective? Has anyone out there taken it and not gotten sick?

Answer #1

What I meant, is that a lot of women get sick at their stomachs because it is a lot of hormones. I didn’t get sick/vomit and I was wandering if it was abnormal that I didn’t get sick. And I was wandering if other women out there had taken the pills and not got sick at their stomachs.

Answer #2

What do you mean by gotten sick from it? Plan B aka the morning after pill is supposed to give you a period within a few days of taking it. That means that it probably worked.

Answer #3

The Plan B pill is not supposed to make you sick, you can feel or get sick from it though as a side effect. The pamphlet that comes with it says about 14 - 23% of women will experience nausea, and 6% will actually get sick from it.

If you think about it, why would throwing up mean the pill works? That has nothing to do with conceiving a baby. The Plan B pill works by temporarily stopping the release of an egg from the ovary, prevents fertilization and prevents a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus, that’s how it works, but my making you throw up your lunch.

Also, the point of Plan B isn’t to make you get your period like stated above (why do ppl answer questions they don’t actually know anything about?) but it can make you have spotting as one of the listed side effects.
