When can I go into water after getting my belly button pierced?

  When I got mine pierced a few days later I went swimming and it didn't affect it at all...but the people who pierce it usually say to wait a few weeks before submerging it into water...and be careful when bathing...but other than that it doesn't really affect it...its pretty much just a precaution

  yes, firs thing I did after I got mine pierced was take a bath. I did not even put any though into Whether or into it was safe.
