Whats wrong with my dog?

My dog has been having seizures for the past few months. He has them on and off maybe on every couple months. He shakes and he can’t walk, sometimes he tries to walk but he walks really funny and he picks his feet up over his head somehow, and all his muscles tense up.

Some flea treatments can mess with their nervous system. Have you put any flea stuff on you dog? If so maybe find another brand.

Answer #2

Ok my kitty lasted months but I only seen her in a seizure once. She was 6 months when I adopted her and it killed her 13 months later. She never seeemed to be in pain so it was a total shock to me.I still miss her and that was a year and 2 months ago.

Is it a small dog? Did you give him Chocolate? Animals can’t have Chocolate becaus of the caffeine. Take him to a Vet now. He is suffering. I worked for a Vet and I saw a dog like that. He didn’t make it.

Answer #4

NO I DIDN’T FEED HIM CHOCOLATE, HE’S A MEDIUM SIZED DOG. I MADE A VET. APPOINTMENT FOR NEXT WEEK TO GET BLOOD WORK, SO I HOPE HE’S OK TIL THEN. =[[

Answer #5

Take him to the vet IMMEDIATELY! My 1 yr old cat did this last year and it killed her.I only seen her do it once but it took her life. She was a shelter rescue and some guy let his dog attack her and ruff around w/her when she was very little.

Answer #6

Dogs DO develop epilepsy for no known reason…The medication to control the part of the brain that causes seizures is darn inexpensive, tho your doggie will probably be on it the rest of his life.

Why wait SO LONG to go to the vet, on something this serious, yet is so easy to control…The seizures themselves, can cause more brain damage…

I’m sending you positive thoughts, and a prayer…

oh poor doggie…this happend with my dog when he was put on some meds for getting into some caustic chemical. the meds made him do this so we took him in and they immediately took him off of the medication. he would try to stand and it was like he couldn’t keep his balance and his eyes were e verywhere, he would seizure and it was very scary. its like he didn’t know what was going on with himself either. its never happend since. hopefully everything will be fine. I am confident those vets will fix him up.
