Whats wrong with the wireless internet, can someone assist me?

Im at my parents house sitting and their computer is showing they have a strong signal from the router, but the status is: aquiring network address. It cant seem to find it and im stupid when it comes to computers.

What I usually do is I just shut of the connection from my computer, give it like 10 seconds and then turn it back on :)

If that doesn’t work then you can turn to their router, disconnect the power cord from the router and the modem, wait for like 10-20 seconds and then connect it again, then wait for your computer to establish the connection :)

If all else fails, call your Internet provider!

Its showing a full signal, all the bars are full. It just wont aquire the network address.

Keep in mind that thousands of people across the world can actually try and hack into your computer through wifi. At night time you should turn it off, or when ever you don’t use it, that way it gives those people a lesser chance of screwing up the connection.

unplug the wireless and wire it to teh pc..

is it now working?
