Whats up with hillary?

Hey everyone, I have no idea what is going on with all the politics. Can some one tell me who is hillary, obama, john, and what is their problem. Why do you like or not like them and why. Some one give me a total politics update. Thank you so much!

Answer #1

I’m leaning towards the only one pro-life, McCain.

Answer #2

Editor, McCain DID feel that way, but now he beholden to the knuckle-draggers on the right, and has flipped-flop. But you will never see that in the press. The corporate controlled media is in love with Old Man McCoot.

To answer the question:

McCain is an old man who has no clue what is really going on. Even with one of his supposed strongest issues, the war in Iraq, he doesn’t even understand the politics, nor knows the deifference between Sunni and Shia.

Hillary has become a complete opportunist, who might have made a good president, but has completely lost all credibility in the way she has behaved over the last few months.

Obama is our best chance to get some real change in DC. He at least has the will to go up against the strangle-hold that multi-national coporations have over our government right now. If we don’t get coporate money out of DC, we can kiss our democracy goodbye.

Answer #3

The problem to me is that people vote on a single issue that has nothing to do with the state of this country.

Example, amblessed. Pro-life is the single only issue he is going to vote on? McCain because he’s the only pro-lifer? What about all the lives that will be taken if McCain is elected and the wars overseas continue. What about that?

Me? These issues are important to me:

  • The War and the countless people we are killing in Iraq and Afghanistan

  • The woman’ s right to choose what happens with her own body

  • Limiting access to guns so less innocent people are shot in accidents and ‘self-defense’

  • The environment, which is going downhill every day

  • Keeping prayer and Christian-centric thought OUT of my schools and government.

SO all signs point to Obama or Hilary for me. McCain would just continue Bush’s war-greedy policies and pockets lined with oil money.

Answer #4

@amblessed was only going to vote McCain anyway, so that’s not an answer :-) He’ll probably deny it, but check out all his past answers and questions, and you’ll see that I’m telling the truth about that :-) (no hard feelings man)

“… what is their problem…”

You really need to start reading some more about our country and its political system. Do you not know that an election is due in November of this year?

Don’t you know that there are two main political parties. republican and democrat?

THere is such a thing as “primaries”. Primaries are elections held by the two parties to chose a single candidate for the elections in november. Primaries are held in a number of states (not all).

The democrat primary is very competitive this time around with two strong candidates (people who want to be president for the party) Hilary Clinton and Barak Obama. John McCain already won the republican primary a few months ago.

So no one has a “problem” and there’s nothing “up” with anyone but you who proudly displays your ignorance about a country that you’re born in but know next to nothing about.

AND something interesting I just discovered (because I thought McCain was pretty liberal on social issues)…

He is not completely pro-life. He supports fetal tissue research because it’s made strides in potential cures for many diseases, including Parkinson’s. And I found this quote from him (with source):

McCain said, “I’d love to see a point where Roe vs. Wade is irrelevant, and could be repealed because abortion is no longer necessary. But certainly in the short term, or even the long term, I would not support repeal of Roe vs. Wade, which would then force women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations. Source: Ron Fournier, Associated Press Aug 24, 1999

So…he’s not even pro-life…any other reasons you will vote for him, amblessed?

Answer #6

I think obama is the best choice now. everyone is complaining about bush, so why put the guy he’s endorsing in office? also, mccain says he’s against war, but I guarentee he’s not. I know he has seen a lot of things during war, but it is NOT 1776 anymore. we aren’t fighting for OUR independence anymore. afganistan was understnadable, but iraq was wrong. AMERICANS are dying right now. im really really sorry about all of those epople dying in irag but that is THEIR BUSNIESS. so obama 08!!

Answer #7

mccain changes his mind like he changes his socks…

McCain stated “I would not support repeal of Roe vs. Wade, which would then force women in America to [undergo] illegal and dangerous operations.” Source: Ron Fournier, Associated Press Aug 24, 1999

McCain said he thought Roe v. Wade should be overturned and said he would support exceptions to a ban on abortion in cases of rape, incest, and when the mother’s life is in danger. Source: Boston Globe, p. A11 Jan 22, 2000

Mccain stated “all human beings are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights. Life is one of these rights.” then, in the next breath, McCain opposed abortion with “exceptions for rape, incest and at any time when the life of the mother is endangered by the pregnancy.”

John McCain has ALWAYS been a strong supporter of the Hyde Amendment.

prior to 1993 the Hyde Amendment allowed taxpayer funding for abortions in the case of a threat to the mother’s life. In 1993, the language was changed to include rape and incest. In 1995, RNC for Life did a Survey of Members of the House and Senate in which we asked them if they would vote to strengthen the Hyde Amendment by removing the rape and incest language. Senator John McCain’s response was “NO.”

and the icing on the cake.. McCain Voted NO on $100M to reduce teen pregnancy by education & contraceptives. (Mar 2005)

to summarize, McCain believes that some babies, because of the circumstances surrounding their conception, are excluded from those who have “unalienable rights?” And, since when is it “pro-life” to support the deliberate killing of an unborn baby for any reason? and he voted AGAINST a bill that would help to decrease teen pregnancy by education and contraceptives, thus lowering the abortion rate…

amblessed, do your research…

a short list of some other McCain opinions - Voted against MLK holiday in 1983; now calls that a mistake. (Apr 2008) Would be “comfortable” with a gay president. (Dec 1999) Confederate flag is a “symbol of heritage”. (Jan 2000) Voted NO on constitutional ban of same-sex marriage. (Jun 2006) Voted NO on expanding hate crimes to include sexual orientation. (Jun 2000) Voted NO on repealing tax subsidy for companies which move US jobs offshore. (Mar 2005) Voted NO on shifting $11B from corporate tax loopholes to education. (Mar 2005) Voted NO on spending $448B of tax cut on education & debt reduction. (Apr 2001) Climate change is real and must be addressed. (Dec 2007) Climate change is real; nuclear power is solution. (Oct 2007)

Constitution says we’re not a Christian nation. (Jan 2008)
