Respect. I think with respect comes everything else. When you respect a person, you will know to treat them right, you will know to respect what they believe in, or things they do. Respect, to me is one of the most important things within any person and any sort of relationship since, to me, it encompasses everything else.

Honesty… Being honest about the feelings and everything else with that other person builds foundation into your relationship like trust, companion and many other things. Not to mention, you have to be honest with yourself as well. the way that you are about yourself radiates off and they can see/seense it and it will catch up to you, and not in the greatest of ways either.
