What's the worst thing about being a teenager?

The social status, the hierarchy of high schools. There’s a pecking order you have to follow in order to be deemed popular. Really, I don’t care about this, but I see many people spiral into a web of lies just so they can be popular, or at least be ranked as middleish. It’s stupid, and I’m still in the middle of it. I hated how cut-throat everything was amongst other people your age- you had to be pretty, fashionable, have a boyfriend/girlfriend… it was like a constant goal to be just popular enough that you weren’t picked on.

I found the worst bit of all was adults assuming you’re rude and obnoxious “just like all the other teenagers in the world today”- I mean, have they met all the teenagers in the world today?

Wanting to have sex

All the assignments and exams you get in high school. All the awkward, embarrasing stuff that happens. How not many adults take you serously, they think you’re still a kid, and when you try and prove them wrong, they either say you’re being immature or moody.

Also how whenever you’re going to go out, or something like that, your hair goes into a spaz and you get a huge zit smack-bang in the middle of your face.
