Whats so wrong with wearing make-up in school?

Make-up has been banned from being worn in my school and I don’t think its fair! Some people are embarrassed about spots in my school and they felt a lot less nervous when they could cover them with make-up, but now its been banned they can’t do that anymore. I usually put a bit of blusher and eyeliner on when I go to school, it makes me feel more confident knowing I don’t look all tierd and blotchy, but more fresh faced and awake. Teachers are aloud to wear make-up, so why can’t the pupils? I think we should atleast have that privilege since we can’t wear jewelery, bring phones in, mp3 or ipods or even wear badges!

Whats your opinion? Do you think they should at least let us wear it to cover up spots or blemishes if we are embarrassed?

Answer #6

ohmygods! arent you at LEAST allowed to wear coverup?wear coverup anywayz. you wont have spots and noone will notice that your wearing makeup if it looks natural. I would die

Answer #7

Okay Listen Up, Why you can’t wear your pretty stuff and makeup, bring in cell phones and such is clear to me. One, You can’t wear jewerly because it’s jangly and annoying to the teachers. Two, You can’t wear makeup because the teachers don’t want you to look all grown up. Three, You might call someone in school and you’d be in bad trouble. Maybe some girls in your class were really dosing it on and so the teachers thought it best. Still wear a little ‘natural look’ makeup and you should be fine. If you want to wear mascara then put it on, then rub your eyelids to get all the clups off. Okkkaay that’s all I can say good luck!

I don’t know why they did it, the headteacher just announced that if any girls are seen wearing make-up then they will have to wipe it off right there or be sent home.

Answer #10

aparently, if you go to a mixed school your not allowed to wear makeup cause it makes you seem more attractive to guys, so you get a boyfriend that goes to your school and you dont consintrate in school- well thats what everyone says in my school. and also cause it lowers the standard of the school or something.. I got told off today for wearing makeup and my teacher gave me a makeup wipe to take it off and I refused to take it off and said I dont feel confindent without makeup so he didnt make me take it off so maybe you should do that with your teachers? although now im known as the girl who was cheeky to the head teacher Lol
