What will happen im 17 and I stole from macys what could happen?

Im 17 and I stole from macys I got arrested what will happen im very scared I dont want to go to jail.

depends on how much you stole ($) and if you have a clean record. You are a minor you will not go to jail. If it was not a felony charge then you will probably have to take classes that your parents will have to show up to. And most likely the store will ban you for while. If it was a felony you will probably go to a juvi dentention facility or/and recieve probation.

Depending on how much you stole will determine what happens to you. You probably didnt steal 1000$ plus in merchandise so you will prob get a fine and probation for a year or two. Since you werent in felony territory, you committed a misdemeanor and that will show up everytime you try and work somewhere from now on.

I am a probation officer. you will most likely get probation. but there is a possibility that you will be tried as an adult depending when your birthday is and how clean your record is.
