What website do you get this virus from?

A Month or so ago I got a rogue program Trojan virus called the Antivirus System Pro virus. It’s pretty well known, and extremly hard to get rid of. Anyways I finally got AVG to rid my computer of the nasty little thing, but I can’t seem to figure out where I got it in the first place? I suspect a social site, or TSR, a website where you download custom content for Sims. Anyways if you have advice as to how not to get it again, or happen to have a list of websites infected with this virus , or know which website I got it from, , please reply. Thanks!!

to not let it happen again you need a bloody good piece of anti-virus software: http://free.avg.com/gb-en/homepage

if you can pay for AVG your on a winner…

what happened was you clicked a popup that told you you were infected by a virus and to ‘click here’ to remove it…

once you clicked it you were sent to 1 of these sites:

(I take no blame if anyone thats gonna be a idiot decides to click these links and get infested!!!)

os-guard-pro.com os-guardpro.com (Antivirus System Pro Powerfull PC Protection) v1rusermover-pro.com viru5ermover_pro.microsoft.com oemantivir-micros0ft.com antivirus-sys_20o9.com anti-aware_pro.com

and these sites install Antivirus System Pro onto your machine…

I doubt you got it from FB. More likely, you got it from a ‘drive by’ of a site. Double check all of your software for security issues. secunia.org has a tool which will inventory your software and tell you what needs updated.
