What to do bout bap mitzvahs?

I am going 2 my first bap mitzvah and practically all my friends have already been 2 one. So I was wonderin what knid of dress to wear and where should I buy it? also, should I bring a purse, do I wear something different to the party after the service? And what present do I get her?!?!

firstly if its for a girl its a BAT mitsvah pronounced baat and its basically the same as a sweet 16 if youve been to one of those I guess it would depend on location for dress code and I like to think that jewish girls would like the same things and normal girls as far as gifts you deffinetly know this person better then me so gift is deff a judgement
